F'burg or BUST...

My 3 best girlfriend's and I took a much needed few days away this past weekend to the Texas Hill Country. We had been looking forward to this trip for ages and we took full advantage of all Fredericksburg has to offer. Namely wine, wine and more wine.

First order of business... coffee.
If you live in Dallas and haven't had the sig latte at Pearl Cup you should be ashamed.
As the group "travel agent" I was in charge of finding the perfect place to call home for the weekend. On the recommendation of a friend from college I searched Absolute Charm Luxury Bed and Breakfasts and found Augusta's Haus. It was perfect! We couldn't have been happier with the accommodations.

The first day we were there we explored Main Street. We started early at the biergarten sampling our fair share of local brews and had lunch (and 2 bottles of wine) at Herb Farm, a great cafe, shop and of course, herb farm a few blocks off the beaten path.

The Herb Garden
Touring a handful of wineries was already on the itinerary but Meredith surprised us with a limo! It was a blast! We shared the tour with 3 sisters who were in town celebrating the oldest's birthday. We couldn't have chosen better car mates.  They were a blast! (unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of the limo or wineries and my girlfriends haven't had a chance to share theirs.)

We will definitely make a trip back to Fredericksburg.  I hope sooner than later.

A spot of tea...

Or coffee or mousse or cupcakes or berries and cream or flowers or succulents or ice cream or... The list of creative ways to use teacups and saucers for your next party is basically endless! I started thinking about all the ways these gorgeous little vessels could be used after TVD provided 30 for a baby shower this past weekend. They served lemon mousse in the mismatched tea cups which I think is genius! I told the hostess I thought so and also told her I was totally going to rip off the idea for the next baby shower I host which just so happens to be the first weekend of August.

Here are some great photos for inspiration and also a few pics of a small portion of TVD's teacup collection. (We have about 120 cup and saucer pairs)

Mark your calendars...

It's back... The Swoon, a creative wedding market + party!!

We had such a wonderful time as a vendor at the first Swoon in February. In addition to meeting 100's of fabulous Dallas brides we were able to network with super talented Dallas wedding professionals who we have had the great privilege of working with.

If you love weddings that are a little quirky, unique, vintage, handmade, one of a kind, local and just down-right pretty this is the wedding market for you!

Farm livin' is the life for me...

If you know where I took the title of this post from I love you. If you don't I still love you but you should Google it, then Netflix it, then watch it all weekend. You are welcome.

I am proud to announce that TVD was featured on another fabulous blog earlier this week.  The super talented ladies over at The Wedding Chicks chose to share the Farm to Table inspired engagement shot we were lucky enough to be a part of with their readers.

Check it out here...

Finders keepers...

Saturday was my mom's birthday and we spent the day "junking". Of course. It's one of our favorite things to do together. Sadly, she didn't find a single thing she had to have. I found quite a few great additions to the TVD collections and even a few things for my humble abode.
